Preparing Business Leaders to Succeed in Japan
Synthravox is a technology company that creates voice profiles for film and television using artificial intelligence. Its technology platform can reproduce voices for existing human actors or create original lifelike voices. The company has decided to expand to the Japanese market and open offices in Tokyo in order to leverage the large cartoon animation market there. However, in order to be successful with Japanese clients, collaborators, and employees, the Synthrovox technology leaders responsible for the expansion will need to understand Japanese customs and etiquette, which are very particular and unlike those of the United States.
You have been contracted by Synthravox to develop a training program to provide its technology leaders skills relating to Japanese etiquette, manners, and business protocol. For this project, you will be working with Ichiko Tanaka, an intercultural communications specialist (and Japanese native herself) who was hired at Synthravox as a part of the expansion. An expert in Japanese culture and etiquette, she will serve as your subject matter expert.
